Bubblegloop Swamp

650px Bubblegloop Swamp Banner

Bubblegloop Swamp, a verdant and intricate location, represents the fourth world in the beloved game Banjo-Kazooie, accessible via the hub world, Gruntilda’s Lair. It poses a greater challenge than its predecessors as it is constructed like a labyrinthine puzzle that could potentially perplex even seasoned players. The swamp itself is comprised of various islands connected by wooden logs and leaves that the player can traverse to explore its secrets. Towards the east of the world lies an imposing structure resembling a big crocodile head, where Mr. Vile, a red crocodile awaits players for an engaging mini-game. On the opposite side of Bubblegloop Swamp stands a giant turtle named Tanktup who pleads for the protagonists help to soothe his aching flippers, offering a Jiggy as a token of gratitude. In addition to these supportive characters, Bottles can be found in Bubblegloop Swamp to teach Banjo and Kazooie the art of using Wading Boots. The Wading Boots, which are only available in a few spots, are vital in traversing the piranha-infested waters without sustaining any damage. To enter the world Bubblegloop Swamp, the player must locate the entrance hidden within a wooden pipe in the same room as the Gruntilda Statue. However, to unlock the door, the player must first find and collect at least seven Jiggies scattered throughout the game. The puzzle of Bubblegloop Swamp, necessary to unlock it, is concealed within a pipe underwater, located next to the entrance door of Clanker’s Cavern. During players exploration of Bubblegloop Swamp, they can stumble upon the shaman’s skull, Mumbo Jumbo, hidden within the wooden log labyrinth, where they can transform Banjo and Kazooie into a green crocodile.

» Bubblegloop Swamp in Banjo-Kazooie Nuts & Bolts

Banjo-Kazooie Nuts and Bolts incorporates several classic elements from its predecessors, and one world in particular stands out for its nostalgia-inducing design, called Banjoland. This world is a veritable treasure trove of references to beloved areas in previous games. It provides players with a unique opportunity to revisit familiar landmarks such as the Giant Snowman of Freezeezy Peak and the imposing totem god Targitzan of Mayahem Temple. Of course, Banjoland features nods to elements from the world of Bubblegloop Swamp, such as Tanktup, the ailing giant turtle who previously required assistance in healing his four flippers in the game Banjo-Kazooie. In this new iteration of the game Tanktup can be found in the water next to an island with Boggy’s Igloo on it. Players will also have the opportunity to explore replicas of each transformation figure from the previous games, such as the Crocodile Form from Bubblegloop Swamp. In the original game Banjo-Kazooie, this form granted the protagonists the ability to traverse piranha-infested waters without fear of damage. Moreover, this transformation was crucial for accessing areas, such as the nostrils of the Massive Crocodile Head where Mr. Vile awaited with a mini-game. Players who beat him three times were rewarded with a Jiggy and later with three Extra Lives. Banjoland is a true homage to the history of the franchise, and players are sure to delight in discovering all of its secrets and references. By incorporating classic elements in exciting ways, it offers a fresh take on beloved characters and locations, ensuring that fans will be entertained for hours on end.

JIGGIES

Jiggy #01: As soon as you enter the world, pass over the arched path to reach an area with a Jiggy-Switch on the ground. Use the Beak Buster to activate the switch, which will let a Jiggy appear at the very end of a narrow path that you must pick up before the timer hits zero.

Jiggy #02: To the left of the world’s first Jiggy-Switch, a small island can be found that can be reached by using the leave in the swamp. Once there, use the Shock Spring Pad to reach the top of the egg and attack the blue crosses on it to shatter the layers and reveal a Jiggy.

Jiggy #03: To the right of the world’s first Jiggy-Switch, there is a small island with hollow tree stumps. Once the player sets foot on the island, the Yellow Fibbits become angry and start to attack him, while defeating all six Flibbits will make them surrender, leaving a Jiggy behind.

Jiggy #04: For this Jiggy, head over to the Treetop Village area that has a few tall pillars with straw huts on it. Once there, use the Shock Spring Pad on the ground to reach the next level and destroy the straw huts to reveal new pads to get up to the tallest pillar, holding a Jiggy.

Jiggy #05: To get this Jiggy, head over to the Treetop Village but take the right instead, where you can find a giant turtle named Tanktup. Stand on all flippers and perform the Beak Buster ability to make him cough up a Jiggy, allowing you to enter his mouth with the Tiptup Choir.

Jiggy #06: On the left side of Bubblegloop Swamp’s entrance platform, you can find a golden crocodile called Croctus. Simply fire a blue egg into his mouth to make him disappear and let another one appear somewhere else, while doing this five times will give the player a Jiggy.

Jiggy #07: In the wooden log maze right before you get to Mumbo’s Skull, walk onto the ledge to find a Jiggy-Switch on the ground. Use the Beak Buster on the switch to let a Jiggy appear for ten seconds and walk on the small path to reach the opposite side with the Jiggy on it.

Jiggy #08: First, make it through the wooden log maze and enter Mumbo’s Skull to transform Banjo and Kazooie into a crocodile. Once done, enter the Giant Crocodile Head through one of the two nostrils, where you must beat Mr. Vile three times in a minigame to earn a Jiggy.

Jiggy #09: To receive this Jiggy, you’ve to find and collect all five different colored Jinjos that are hidden in the world Bubblegloop Swamp. Once you’ve found and picked up the last Jinjo of the world, they will reward the player with a Jiggy that can be picked up on the ground.

Jiggy #10: To get the world’s last Jiggy, enter the mouth of Tanktup, where you will find Tiptup and his choir class. Talk with Tiptup to play a memorization game and repeat the notes sung by each choir turtle three times with Kazooie’s Beak Buster ability to receive the last Jiggy.
