Bad Magic Bayou is the third world in the video game Banjo-Kazooie Grunty’s Revenge and is a dark and treacherous area that players can access through Spiral Mountain. Unlike the previous two worlds, Cliff Farm and Breegull Beach, this world poses a significant challenge to players as it is filled with a large poisonous sea that will instantly deplete their health upon contact. In order to survive, players must use the tires or the old wooden bridges inside the sea to progress. In the northern part of Bad Magic Bayou, there is a spooky mansion situated on top of a big hill known as Monster Manor. This mansion is filled with many collectibles and secrets, and players can also acquire new moves from Bozzeye, such as the use of Battery Eggs that allow Banjo and Kazooie to enable generators, or open up grids to find valuable collectibles. On the left side of Bad Magic Bayou, players can find the entrance to the Vapor Scrubs, where toxic gas will make it difficult to breathe for Banjo and Kazooie. Successfully navigating this area will lead them to a new section where they can find Mumbo’s Skull and a dark and eerie cave known as Creepy Corridors, which can only be accessed while in the Candle Form. The entrance to Bad Magic Bayou can be found in the middle left part of the game’s hub world, Spiral Mountain, inside a hollow tree trunk that is surrounded by poisonous water. To break the magic seal that blocks the entrance, players must collect at least fourteen Jiggies and activate the Crystal Jiggy inside the Jiggywiggy Temple.

» Klungo in Bad Magic Bayou

The world Bad Magic Bayou is home to the mysterious Monster Manor, a daunting area that can be accessed by scaling the wooden bridges above the world’s entrance door. Upon entering the building, players are presented with a winding path that leads up to the second floor. Continuing their journey, they’ll eventually encounter a door on the left side, which they must enter. Here, two Toll Machines can be found on the wall, which players must use to activate the warp platform on the ground. To do so, they must fire a certain number of Battery Eggs inside the machines. Upon using the warp platform on the ground, they’ll be transported to a secret section of the mansion where they face Klungo. After a hard-fought battle, Klungo will surrender and use the platform to escape. However, players will not leave empty-handed, as the henchman leaves behind a Jiggy and a Mumbo Token. The Mumbo Token allows Banjo and Kazooie to transform into the Candle Form, which is especially useful for accessing the Creepy Corridors. This ominous cave, located next to Mumbo Jumbo’s Skull, requires players to solve a puzzle game by lighting all the candles within a given time limit for a golden Jiggy. While exploring the Creepy Corridors, players must be mindful of the dangers, such as Grille Chompas. Furthermore, colliding with the poisonous water will cause Banjo and Kazooie to lose all their health points, resulting in an instant defeat.

JIGGIES

Jiggy #01: As soon as you enter the Bad Magic Bayou level, keep walking down until you see Commander Gruntling, who is sitting on a tree stump on an island. Talk to him and defeat his army that consists of different colored Gruntilings in order to earn this Jiggy as a reward.

Jiggy #02: To get this Jiggy, the Bill Drill ability is required that can be learnt from Bozzeye on the right side of the Monster Manor building. As soon as you’ve learnt this technique, perform a Bill Drill on the loose ground to knock off the Jiggy from the cliff near Bozzeye’s molehill.

Jiggy #03: The third Jiggy in this world can be found by heading to the left side of Bad Magic Bayou and enter the Vapor Scrubs. Inside of it you can already see the Jiggy on the opposite and can be picked up by reaching the other side fast enough before your air runs out.

Jiggy #04: From the world’s entrance door head down and left to reach a small island with a mouse NPC on it. Simply talk to him to start another fishing minigame that is pretty similar to the one in Cliff Farm just more difficult, where you must score enough points for a Jiggy.

Jiggy #05: For this Jiggy you will need to head over to the Monster Manor, which is above the entrance door of Bad Magic Bayou. Inside the Monster Manor keep looking for a room, where a Jiggy is locked behind a grid that can be freed by shooting battery eggs in a toll station.

Jiggy #06: After beating Klungo in the Monster Mansion and obtaining his Mumbo Token, use Mumbo’s transformation service and turn into a candle. After that enter the dark cave on the right side and finish the puzzle game in the last room to receive another Jiggy as a reward.

Jiggy #07: From the Bad Magic Bayou entrance door head over to the bottom left corner to reach the Vapor Scrubs located below Mumbo’s Skull. Once there, use the Flip Flap ability to get on the top of the right tree stump and jump to the left tree to pick up the Jiggy on it.

Jiggy #08: Before you can get this Jiggy, you will need the Mumbo Token of Freezing Furnace and transform the Duo into a tank. Once done, open the iron door that is on the left side of Mumbo’s Skull by shooting it off and finish the puzzle game to earn a Jiggy as a reward.

Jiggy #09: To receive this golden Jiggy, you must find and collect all five green colored Jinjos that are hidden in the world Bad Magic Bayou. Once the last Jinjo got picked up, a Jiggy will appear in front of the Jinjo Oracle, who is located near the entrance of the Vapor Scrubs.

Jiggy #10: The last Jiggy of Bad Magic Bayou can be obtained after defeating Klungo, who is hiding inside the Monster Manor building. To enable the warp platform on the ground, Banjo and Kazooie have to fire battery eggs into the toll machines that is located inside the wall.
