Lord Woo Fak Fak, a colossal green-hued anglerfish, makes his debut appearance as a boss in Jolly Roger’s Lagoon, the fourth world in the game Banjo-Tooie. Residing in one of the lockers the so-called Locker Of Davy Jones, located in the depth of Atlantis, Lord Woo Fak Fak poses a hard challenge to Banjo and Kazooie, who must navigate the murky waters to reach his abode. Upon entering the small, dimly-lit locker and noticing the golden Jiggy in the radiance of Lord Woo Fak Fak’s angler, Banjo and Kazooie take a closer look, awakening the slumbering behemoth. Upon being asked who has dared to enter Davy Jones’s locker, Banjo, quick on his feet, lies and claims to have come to deliver his mails. Lord Woo Fak Fak, however, sees through their deception and accuses the pair of attempting to steal his precious Jiggy and drain his home, while leaving him to perish. Banjo’s friend Kazooie, perhaps unwisely, adds fuel to the fire, aggravating the already irate Lord Woo Fak Fak and initiating the battle. As the protagonists engage in a fierce fight with Lord Woo Fak Fak, his bioluminescent glow illuminating the surroundings, they have to carefully avoid his deadly electrical projectiles and employ various tactics to emerge victorious. Upon his defeat, Lord Woo Fak Fak is left defeated, belly up and his light extinguished as he loses his rare Jiggy. Despite this setback, he remains alive while telling players, that he has fought well.

» Battle Procedure

During the fight with Lord Woo Fak Fak, players have to use their wits and skills to overcome this challenging boss. To successfully defeat the colossal anglerfish, players must target the six boils on his sides, which can only be damaged by explosive attacks. As the player aims at the flashing boils, Lord Woo Fak Fak retaliates with lethal energy projectiles from his angler capable of hitting even when his eyes are closed. Therefore, it’s essential for players to keep moving and dodge his attacks. Once all the boils are destroyed, Lord Woo Fak Fak opens his eyes while becoming even more dangerous. At this stage, players must focus at his eyes, each requiring three hits to inflict significant damage. However, Lord Woo Fak Fak’s attacks become more precise, while shooting bubble traps at the player. It is important for players to stay in front of him to attack, dodging his assaults while remaining close. In case the protagonists run out of Grenade Eggs, there are egg nests in each corner of the room. However, reaching them can be riskier and players must weigh the risks before going there. Alternatively, players can seek Humba Wumba’s help to turn Banjo and Kazooie into a submarine, which will provide an unlimited supply of torpedoes and make the fight against Lord Woo Fak Fak easier. After defeating Lord Woo Fak Fak, he goes belly up, while his light extinguishes indicating his defeat. It’s noteworthy that if players continue to hit him after the battle, Lord Woo Fak Fak claims he is dead and has no more Jiggies, which is ironic since he would not be able to speak if he were indeed dead. Also, defeating Lord Woo Fak Fak is no easy feat, and players must use their ingenuity and quick reflexes to emerge victorious for a Jiggy.
