In the video game Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair, Queen Phoebee is a central character who plays a pivotal role in restoring order to the Royal Stingdom and defeating Capital B. As the queen of the Royal Stingdom, she is a thin bee with a black body, face mask, and antennae, and has blue eyes and a yellow face. Her outfit is eye-catching and unique, consisting of a black and yellow striped dress with a red underneath and white gloves over human-like fingers. The dress has small studs up and down and she wears brown boots. Queen Phoebee’s peach wings have a pink inside, with eleven red crystals coming off of different points that connect with red colored lines to the pink part. She has a ribbon hanging off of her waist with three gold hexagons coming off, one of which has a rainbow crystal. Moreover, she is known as a kind-hearted and supportive queen who cares about the safety of the Royal Stingdom. She is a bit of a klutz, but always offers her assistance to Yooka and Laylee whenever they need it. She grants them access to the Royal Beettalion Guards to help them take down the antagonist, Capital B. Despite her good intentions she can be careless at times, as she didn’t consider that Capital B might steal the Beettalion for himself, despite herself pointing out that he had a Bee controlling device called the Hive Mind. In addition to her lovely nature Queen Phoebee is also shown to have a hostile relationship with her brother, Capital B. While she deeply dislikes him, she still manages to work with the protagonists to defeat him. After players complete Capital B’s Impossible Lair, Queen Phoebee rescues Yooka and Laylee from the self-destructing lair. She plans to gather the chapters from each one of the Royal Stingdom’s locations to rebuild her kingdom. Interestingly, when players complete Capital B’s Impossible Lair on the first attempt, a secret ending is shown, where Queen Phoebee reveals that Capital B is her brother and that she is a member of an organisation called V.I.L.E.
