Chief Bloatazin is a character from the game Banjo-Tooie, serving as the high priest to the deity Targitzan in Mayahem Temple, the game’s first playable world. Physically resembling a jaguar or a moggy, he is described as a larger-than-life figure, standing taller than Banjo. When Banjo and Kazooie encounter him, he is frantically searching for a golden idol of Targitzan, which has been stolen by the Unga Bungas, a group of cavemen from Terrydactyland who use a shortcut at the top of Chief Bloatazin’s chamber. The task to retrieve the golden idol requires stealth, as walking too fast across the sticks will alert the Unga Bunga guard. After retrieving the golden relic, Banjo must return to the Treasure Chamber, where giving the idol back to Bloatazin rewards them with a Jiggy. Upon receiving his golden idol back, Chief Bloatazin jumps around ecstatically, showing his immense joy and relief. This triggers a cutscene showing the Unga Bunga guard’s panic over potential consequences for the theft. Besides the Jiggy, players can find an Extra Honeycomb inside the Treasure Chamber. To obtain it, they must use Kazooie’s Talon Trot technique to climb up the mound of treasures on the left side, where the Extra Honeycomb is located. Also, there’s a glitch with Chief Bloatazin, which occurs when players collect the Sacred Relic Thingy, switch to Mumbo Jumbo, and talk to him. Despite having the relic, he’ll insist he will only speak with Banjo and continue his search. Interestingly, he shares his voice with the character Old King Coal.
