Jolly Roger’s Lagoon is a stunning resort that serves as the fourth playable world in Banjo-Tooie and it can be accessed through the game’s hub world Isle O’Hags. The whole world takes place in a town that sits beside an enormous deep lagoon, known as Atlantis, where most of the action takes place. The entrance to Atlantis is found within the lagoon itself, which can be accessed by using a Mumbo Pad that allows Banjo and Kazooie to breathe underwater and explore the deep sections of the lagoon. The town is run by Jolly Roger, who manages the local inn, while Captain Blubber runs a store, where tourists are able to rent wave racers to explore the lagoon. Pawno’s Emporium located near Jolly’s Tavern, is a shop where Banjo and Kazooie can use Doubloons to purchase collectibles such as Jiggies or Cheato Pages. Furthermore, the protagonists can learn three new techniques in this world, including the Wing Whack, Sub Aqua Egg Aiming, and Talon Torpedo. These abilities come in handy when exploring the depths of the lagoon and discovering hidden treasures. To enter the world Jolly Roger’s Lagoon, Banjo and Kazooie must first find and collect fourteen Jiggies, and complete the picture challenge in Jiggywiggy’s Temple. Once they meet these requirements, they can enter the world through a door located at the Cliff Top of Isle O’ Hags, to the right of the Warp Hole. Additionally, Jolly Roger’s Lagoon also features Mumbo’s Skull, where the shaman, Mumbo Jumbo, can be used to prevent Banjo and Kazooie from losing air while exploring the depths of Atlantis. Humba Wumba’s Wigwam is also present in this world where Banjo and Kazooie can transform into a submarine to move more quickly underwater, fire endless torpedoes, and access certain sections of Atlantis, such as the Sea Bottom Cavern.

» Shortcuts in Jolly Roger's Lagoon

Jolly Roger’s Lagoon is a captivating world that offers players a special shortcut to access other worlds. The shortcut is conveniently located inside the Sunken Ship in Atlantis, but players must exercise caution and skillfully navigate through a pipeline while avoiding rotating propellers that pose a significant danger. To overcome this obstacle, players can utilize their Ice Egg ability to hit the red spot in the center of the propellers and halt their rotation for a few seconds. Once players successfully navigate the pipeline, they’ll arrive at the Water Storage of the second world, Glitter Gulch Mine. They will land on top of a water tank and find a Jinjo sitting on it. Although obtaining the Jinjo through the shortcut is mandatory, they can acquire it by using a well-aimed Clockwork Kazooie Egg. It is vital to note that there is only one shortcut in Jolly Roger’s Lagoon, but players can still gain entry into a small portion of the world Grunty Industries. By breaking the top part of the pipe above the Swimming Pool of Piggles and Trotty with the Bill Drill technique, players can access the interior of the pipe. Also, the music inside the pipe changes to the basement version of Grunty Industries, which creates the illusion of being in a completely different world. However it is impossible to fully explore Grunty Industries from within the pipe. Players can press a switch at the end of the pipe, where they have to use Kazooie’s Beak Buster ability to stop the pipe from polluting the pool of the Piggles and Trotty. This is one of three required steps players must take to earn the Jiggy from them in Jolly Roger’s Lagoon. In addition to its other features, players can find and collect a Jinjo inside the disposal pipe that is exclusive to the world Grunty Industries.
