Banjoland, the third world in the video game Banjo-Kazooie Nuts & Bolts, is a huge museum-like location that is packed with attractions, replicas and characters from the games, Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie. It’s a nostalgic tribute to the previous games that will thrill fans of the series and engage new players with its exciting features. One of the most notable features of the Banjoland world is its various attractions, such as the graveyard from Mad Monster Mansion that houses an incomplete model of the Haunted Mansion. Also, the world features the Cactus O’ Strength from Witchyworld, and near it there is Boggy’s Igloo from Freezeezy Peak. The world’s center features a melted version of the Giant Snowman, which players can walk by using his scarf, similar to the first game, Banjo-Kazooie. Terry’s Nest from the world Terrydactyland, which requires players to find and return eggs to Terry for a golden Jiggy in the previous game, Banjo-Tooie, can be found near the Snowman. The kickball stadium, located in front of the Giant Snowman, is a fun feature that features the Golden Goliath, a Targitzan statue that fires footballs out of his mouth, and the Stonehenge Ruins from Mumbo’s Mountain. The world is littered with replicas of characters and objects such as the transformations of the Detonator or Crocodile Form and bosses like Old King Coal. Furthermore, Banjoland has an underwater room filled with treasure. It appears as though exhibits were once on display before the room was flooded, or it could be a place of Jolly Roger’s Lagoon. Other small exhibits include the Clockwork Kazooie Bird, the T-Rex Form, Jinjos, the UFO of Alph the alien, and the Ice Key inside the Snowman. To unlock the first Act, players have to find six Jiggies and place the Game Globe provided by Lord of Games on its plinth in the game’s hub world, known as Showdown Town. The fourth Act, however, is of particular interest, as it features a Jiggy-Challenge hosted by Gruntilda. Players must successfully beat her challenge to receive the Springer part for their trolley in Showdown Town. This upgrade enables Banjo and Kazooie to reach high located platforms in Showdown Town and discover new areas and hidden secrets.
» Gruntilda Winkybunion in Banjoland
In Act four of Banjoland, players are presented with an exhilarating and unique Jiggy-Challenge that is hosted by the game’s antagonist, Gruntilda. Positioned atop the Kickball Field, next to the Stonehenge Ruins of Mumbo’s Mountain, the witch unveils her malevolent scheme to Banjo and Kazooie. In a brief video clip, Gruntilda Winkybunion shows off her new vehicle equipped with the Springer part, allowing her to bounce around and wreak havoc in the museum. The protagonists are tasked with taking matters into their own hands and designing a powerful vehicle equipped with weapons and enough ammo to stop the wicked witch. The aim of this Jiggy-Challenge is to destroy Gruntilda’s springy vehicle as quick as possible before she gets away. The best strategy is to equip the Freezeezy vehicle part, which fires a projectile that freezes the target and disables driving and most gadgets and weapons. This allows the protagonists to use all of their weapons to destroy her vehicle with ease. Upon successfully defeating her in the Jiggy-Challenge, players are rewarded with the Springer vehicle part for the trolley in the hub world, Showdown Town. This unique upgrade enables the protagonists to perform jumps while driving the trolley, which grants players the opportunity to explore new areas of the hub world, Showdown Town, and reach new Mumbo Crates and Trapdoor Towers to increase the selection of parts in Mumbo’s Motors.
