Brentilda Winkybunion

Brentilda Winkybunion is a supportive character in Banjo-Kazooie and is one of the Winkybunion siblings. She stands out as a benevolent fairy mother who opposes Gruntilda’s evil ways. Despite sharing the characteristic green skin and pointed ears of her sisters, Brentilda stands apart with her elegant pink gown and fairy wings. She keeps her whitish-blond hair neatly tied up in a bun and accessorizes with thin-framed glasses, a golden diadem, and a star-tipped magic wand. In Gruntilda’s Lair, she hides in various areas, and her presence is unknown to her sister or ignored because of Gruntilda’s laziness. Banjo and Kazooie can encounter her multiple times during their quest and gain valuable information about Gruntilda’s past through the facts she reveals about her sister. Brentila shares three disgusting yet helpful facts about her evil sister, such as her old boyfriend’s name, her favorite color, or her best friend in school. Each fact reveals an answer to one of the questions the protagonists may encounter in Grunty’s Furnace Fun when they land on a purple Gruntilda Square. Interestingly, Brentilda Winkybunion’s portrait hangs in Mad Monster Mansion’s dining room, and another can be found in Pawno’s Emporium in the fourth world Jolly Roger’s Lagoon in the game Banjo-Tooie. However, she doesn’t appear in Banjo-Tooie, nor is she mentioned by her siblings, likely due to her disownment. According to Rare, she was arrested by the rubbish video game character police along with Tooty and four training enemies. Since then she has made only a few cameo appearances and hasn’t appeared completely in any game.
