Cloud Cuckooland

Cloud Cuckooland, the eighth world in Banjo-Tooie, is a peculiar and fantastical world accessible through Isle O’Hags. It’s a collection of floating islands, with a huge mountain at its center known as the Central Cavern. Each floating island is adorned with unique structures such as the Giant Trash Can and Pot of Gold, which players can enter to partake in minigames and earn rewards like Jiggies or Cheato Pages. Within Cloud Cuckooland, there are two different colored Skulls of Mumbo Jumbo, one of which is a trap set by the game’s antagonist, Gruntilda Winkybunion. This trap unleashes Mingy Jongo, a robotic version of the pink shaman, Mumbo Jumbo, with the sole objective of eliminating Banjo and Kazooie. Cloud Cuckooland is distinctive among the worlds in Banjo-Tooie, as it features only two Warp Pads, including near the entrance and the other inside the Central Cavern. Additionally, players can find Jamars, who impart the game’s final technique called the Sack Pack. This ability enables Banjo to either store objects or even characters within his backpack. The entrance door to Cloud Cuckooland is located in the Wasteland area of Isle O’Hags, concealed behind a very small tunnel and accessed through a bubble. However, before entering the world, players have to amass forty-five Jiggies and complete the picture challenge within Jiggywiggy’s Temple. In Cloud Cuckooland, players can find Mumbo, who can be used on a pad to summon a massive rainbow, granting access to the Pot of Gold. Also, Humba Wumba’s Wigwam is present in this world, allowing Banjo and Kazooie to transform into a Bumble Bee.

» Cloud Cuckooland in Banjo-Kazooie Nuts & Bolts

The first world of Banjo-Tooie, Cloud Cuckooland, is a mysterious location for many players, and elements of it have been recreated in the game Banjo-Kazooie Nuts and Bolts in the third world called Banjoland. This special world provides a fun and nostalgic trip down memory lane for fans of the original game. Adjacent to the Soccer Field and a arboreal structure reminiscent of Click Clock World, an intricately rendered painting adorns the wall. The subject of this artwork is the awe-inspiring Cloud Cuckooland’s mountain called Central Cavern. Surrounding this focal point are various elevated platforms showcasing more elements from Cloud Cuckooland’s whimsical environment, such as the vivid rainbow summoned by Mumbo Jumbo to access the coveted Pot of Gold. Noteworthy features include the character Gregor the Ice Cube, deliberately displaced from a platform to temper the scorching pool of water for the Piglets in the fourth world called Jolly Roger’s Lagoon. The Eyeballus Jiggium Plant represented an enemy tasked with defending one of Gruntilda Winkybunions’s valuable Jiggies. In its vigilant duty, this enemy would promptly engage in offensive maneuvers against Banjo and Kazooie whenever they ventured within close proximity. Also, a platform on the right side hosts the iconic Mumbo’s Skull, a visual reminder of the duality within the world Cloud Cuckooland, wherein two distinct Mumbo Skulls existed with one housing the authentic shaman and the other harboring the robotic facsimile named Mingy Jongo, diligently tasked with obstructing the protagonists and thwarting their overall triumph.

JIGGIES

Jiggy #01: In Cloud Cuckooland lies a whimsical jelly castle, accessible by splitting up within the Central Cavern and emerging towards the azure Mumbo Skull as Banjo. Ascend the vine to the left and use the flower to reach the castle, and get the Jiggy with Banjo’s Shack Pack.

Jiggy #02: To obtain this golden Jiggy, venture into Zubba’s Nest where you will be presented with a game. Within the game, Zubbas of various colors will soar from every corner and you must strive to score a minimum of 50 points within 60-seconds to be rewarded with a Jiggy.

Jiggy #03: Within the world, you will come across four Eyeballus Jiggium Plants designed to safeguard a Jiggy and confront the Duo. Visit Humba Wumba and undergo a transformation into a Bumble Bee, enabling you to eliminate them with your stingers and acquire the Jiggy.

Jiggy #04: To access the Trash Can you may have noticed, the only option is to enter it using Kazooie alone. Once inside, you will have a limited time of 60 seconds to accumulate a total of 50 points by destroying germs in order to obtain a Jiggy as a reward from Guffo the Can.

Jiggy #05: Near the world’s entrance, you’ll come across Mr. Fit near a sizable structure. Use the Springy Step Shoes and leap over the bar to relocate him to a different area and defeat him in the other two challenges in order to be rewarded with a medal that is a golden Jiggy.

Jiggy #06: Use the Rain Dance ability on Mumbo’s Pad to evoke a rainbow that connects the grassy area to the apex of the Pot ‘O’ Gold. Upon entering, you’ll have a designated period of 45 seconds to hit 90 Jigsaw Pieces on the wall with eggs to win a golden Jiggy as a reward.

Jiggy #07: Split up and accompany Banjo to the Cheese Wedge, where you can use his Sack Pack technique. Inside the wedge, you will encounter floating onions that can be jumped on to reach the end, where you can perform the Shack Pack to enter the hole and find a Jiggy.

Jiggy #08: Superstash Deluxe, the huge safe within the Central Cavern, is eager to assist you in earning another Jiggy. Unfortunately, the forgetful safe has misplaced its combination, so you have to press all four switches scattered within the Central Cavern, to unlock the Jiggy.

Jiggy #09: Make your way to Humba’s Wigwam and go left to find Canary Mary, who is ready to challenge Banjo and Kazooie to yet another thrilling race. Hop onto the clockwork mouse near her and emerge victorious in the race to claim the Jiggy as your well-deserved prize.

Jiggy #10: One of Mumbo’s Skulls stands out as it harbors Mingy Jongo, a creation from the game’s antagonist specifically designed to eliminate Banjo and Kazooie. Engaging in an epic battle with Mingy Jongo and emerging triumphant will be rewarded with a valuable Jiggy.

JINJOS

Jinjo #01: The Jinjo you seek is above and to the left of the Central Cave, where you acquire the Sack Pack. To reach it, you will need to execute the highest jump possible in the game by becoming Kazooie and utilize her Shock Spring to propel yourselves upwards to the alcove.

Jinjo #02: The Jinjo is a straightforward one, such as the Glowbo in Mayahem Temple. It can be found sitting in the center of the green light within Mingy Jongo’s Skull’s lobby. Also, inside Mumbo Jumbo’s Skull, you’ll come across a Minjo located at the center of the lobby as well.

Jinjo #03: The third Jinjo can be found within Humba Wumba’s Wigwam, but unlike the other Jinjos, it won’t call out to you unless you approach it. In order to get this Jinjo, use the Bumble Bee transformation and take flight towards the rafters above, where you can simply grab it.

Cheato Page #02: Go to Mumbo’s Skull and take the role of the shaman to use his magic pad and summon a rainbow between the grassy area and the Pot ‘O’ Gold. Enter the building and strike 75 Jigsaw Pieces on the wall with eggs within 45 seconds to acquire a Cheato Page.

Cheato Page #03: After defeating Canary Mary twice in Glitter Gulch Mine, she appears near Humba’s Wigwam, located on the right side. The first victory against her grants you a Jiggy as a reward, and if you manage to win the final race, you will be awarded a Cheato Page.
