Glitter Gulch Mine, the second playable world in the video game Banjo-Tooie, is a dark and stony underground cavern found in Isle O’Hags. The intricate and expansive network of tunnels, known as the Ordnance Storage, is replete with many mountains that are made up of valuable minerals of various colors. While exploring Glitter Gulch Mine, Banjo and Kazooie will encounter areas that are shrouded in darkness and require the use of power generators in order to provide electricity to all light sources. Interestingly, the world was originally meant to be included in the video game Banjo-Kazooie, but it wasn’t completed on time and was eventually added to Banjo-Tooie. Upon entering the world Glitter Gulch Mine, players can find Jamjars, the master of all moves, who will teach them the Bill Drill and Beak Bayonet technique. The Bill Drill is an essential skill that is used to demolish boulders and uncover collectibles such as Extra Honeycombs or gain access to new areas of the world. There are two instances where Banjo and Kazooie can meet Jamjars, and it’s recommended that they learn all techniques that he has to offer. The wooden mine shaft next to Honey Bee’s Hive in the Plateau of the game’s hub world, Isle O’Hags, provides access to Glitter Gulch Mine. However, players must collect four golden Jiggies and complete the moving picture challenge inside Jiggywiggy’s Temple before they can enter this world. Additionally, Glitter Gulch Mine features Mumbo’s Skull, where players can use the pink shaman to move a rock inside the Crushing Shed and levitate Chuffy back to its original location. Near the entrance door of Glitter Gulch Mine, players will find Humba Wumba, who can transform them into a detonator that can be used to activate TNTs and access new sections of the world. The world’s intricate network of tunnels offers a wide variety of challenges and obstacles to overcome, while players will need to use all their skills and knowledge to explore every nook and cranny of this underground cavern.
» Shortcuts in Glitter Gulch Mine
In this world the player can find up to three shortcuts that will lead him to other worlds. The first one can be found in the Fuel Depot, leading to the Space Zone of Witchyworld and is required to get the Saucer of Peril back to his world, whereupon the player can play a mini-game to receive a Jiggy and Cheato Page. However, before the Saucer of Peril’s box can be brought back, a red button must be pressed on the other side of the iron gate. The world’s second shortcut is located in the Waterfall Cavern behind a door with Kazooie’s silhouette on it. It leads the player inside a cave on the Icyside of Hailfire Peaks, where the Stop ‘n’ Swop’s ice key can be used to unlock the frozen vault. The vault holds the legendary Mega Glowbo that allows the player to use Humba’s transformation service in the Pine Grove of Isle O’ Hags, where Kazooie can be transformed into a green dragon to use unlimited fire eggs and spit flames. Glitter Gulch Mine’s third shortcut can be found in the Prospector’s Hut, leading the player back to Mayahem Temple inside the Prison Compound. This shortcut becomes available after destroying the boulder with Kazooie’s Bill Drill inside the prison and is used when the player recruits Dilberta to reunite her with Bullion Bill.
