The Piranha Form is a special and powerful transformation that adds an exciting new dimension to the game Yooka-Laylee. This form can be found in the world, Moodymaze Marsh, and requires players to obtain the elusive Mollycool. Once obtained players have to bring it to Dr. Puzz who will activate the D.N.Ray, allowing them to become a swarm of dangerous piranhas. In this form, the protagonists take on the appearance of a huge swarm of eighteen piranhas, with eleven of them resembling Yooka and seven resembling Laylee. This small detail adds a nice touch to the game as the swarm size reduces based on the health of Yooka and Laylee. The swarm of piranhas is equipped with sharp teeth, allowing them to take on any enemies and obstacles that come their way. Furthermore, it enables Yooka and Laylee to swim through thorny plants that hold valuable collectibles, which would be impossible to reach in their normal form. The swarm’s ability allows the protagonists to turn the piranha swarm into an aggressive and hungry one, where they start biting everyone and everything that comes inside, making it easy to defeat enemies and remove blocking obstacles. Additionally players can use the transformation to enter small pipes to reach new areas within the world, where they can find collectibles such as Quills and Pagies. However they must dodge several dangerous obstacles such as moving platforms with electricity running through. In one of these pipes, they can find a trolley character who requires help because he is stuck below some bones, so the protagonists must perform their powerful bite attack in order to free him and earn another Pagie. It is worth noting that the Piranha Form is limited to swimming in waters, restricting its exploration in the world Moodymaze Marsh. Overall, the Piranha Form in Yooka-Laylee is a transformation that provides players with unique abilities to navigate through the waters and overcome various obstacles. With its bite attack, ability to enter small pipes, and ability to swim through thorny plants, this form offers players a thrilling new way of exploration.
