Soggy

Soggy is one of the three children of Boggy, a white colored polar bear, who appeared in the first and second installments of the Banjo-Kazooie franchise. In Banjo-Kazooie, Soggy is depicted as a sad child during Christmas because she doesn’t have any presents. Banjo and Kazooie take it upon themselves to search for three Christmas presents, one for each of Boggy’s children called Soggy, Moggy and Groggy. The protagonists then gives the presents to the children in exchange for a Jiggy, which they receive as a reward. Later, the children are seen celebrating in their igloo while their father, Boggy, lounges lazily in his icy chair. Soggy is depicted wearing green pajama pants in this game. In Banjo-Tooie, Soggy wears a pink dress with a bumblebee image instead of green pajama pants. The plot involves the three children being separated from their mother, Mrs. Boggy, in the game’s third world Witchyworld. The protagonists are tasked with finding the cubs and returning them home. Soggy, Moggy, and Groggy are hesitant to leave the theme park, but Banjo and Kazooie convince them to come back to their igloo by fulfilling all requirements. After the cubs are safely back home, Mrs. Boggy rewards them with a Jiggy. If Banjo and Kazooie talk to Soggy in Boggy’s Igloo located in Hailfire Peaks on the Icy Side, she reveals herself to be a bit of a malicious tattletale as Soggy hopes that his brother called Moggy gets in serious trouble for jumping on her mother’s bed. In the video game Banjo-Kazooie Nuts & Bolts, Soggy, Moggy and Groggy were supposed to appear, but were cut due to time constraints. However, their canceled Jiggy-Challenge was named “Don’t Bring Your Kids to Work Day.” Interestingly eleven years after the game’s release, it was discovered that both, Soggy and Moggy, were actually present in the game with their completed models and AI from Minjos. Soggy can be seen in the sixth Act of the world Banjoland, in the mission Home Improvements: Igloo Edition, atop Clanker. Even fans have discovered Soggy and Moggy in the game, it’s still unclear whether Groggy is also in the game.
