The Spaceship Form in Yooka-Laylee is a valuable and powerful transformation, available in the fifth world, Galleon Galaxy. To access this form, players must obtain the elusive Mollycool, which can be found on top of the searchlight of the Lightspeed House located in the center of Galleon Galaxy. Once they have found the Mollycool they have to bring it to Dr. Puzz, who will activate the D.N.Ray, allowing the protagonists to stand on the platform and get transformed. When they use the Spaceship Form, they assume the form of a pirate galleon. Yooka’s body makes up the bow and the stern, while his eyes are on the steering wheel. The hull has six glowing portholes on the sides, an orange keel on the bottom and a large lantern on the back. On the other hand, Laylee’s body forms the mast, the sails, and the crow’s nest. The deck holds three different cannons that shoot ice, fire, and bombs, providing a vast array of options to demolish obstacles. Moreover, the Spaceship Form enables the protagonists to tread on the dangerous water that would normally cause damage to Yooka and Laylee. It’s also able to perform a boost in the water to increase its movement speed, which uses a power meter. Another exciting feature of the Spaceship Form is that players can race against Nimble once again and earn a Pagie if they win. However, Nimble has practiced extensively, and the race in Galleon Galaxy is more challenging than her previous race in Tribalstack Tropics. The Spaceship Form is also essential to defeating Planette, the boss of Galleon Galaxy. Interestingly, it is the only transformation in Yooka-Laylee that requires players to face a world boss while being transformed, adding an extra layer of excitement. In conclusion the Spaceship Form in Yooka-Laylee is an extraordinary transformation that adds a new level of challenge to the game. With its vast array of weapons, abilities to navigate through waters, and the fact to face a boss while being transformed, making it to a beloved form in the franchise.
