The Submarine Form is a transformation of remarkable power that enables players to navigate and explore previously inaccessible areas of Jolly Roger’s Lagoon, the underwater environment also known as Atlantis. Introduced in Banjo-Tooie, this form offers special features that can only be controlled by using the Control Stick to steer and the A button to move forward. Also, it has a powerful arsenal of offensive capabilities, including the ability to use torpedoes from a distance pressing the Z button, and a Sonar Ping that targets nearby enemies with the B button. Notably the form is one of only two transformations, the other being Dragon Kazooie, that can engage in boss battles. Players are able to deploy the Submarine Form against Lord Woo Fak Fak, making the fight significantly easier, due to the speed and agility of the submarine in underwater combat and its homing ability of torpedoes. Moreover, the Submarine Form can also reach the bottom of Lockers Cavern to play the Submarine Challenge, making it an indispensable tool for exploration and battle. Furthermore, it provides players with infinite air underwater, enhancing their ability to explore the fascinating underwater world Atlantis. However, it is worth mentioning that the Form is not capable of warping onto land using the Warp Pads. Nonetheless, players have found that they can take the Submarine Form straight out of the water onto land and explore various areas of the town, including Turtleview Cave, Blubber’s Waveracer Hire, and Piggles and Trotty’s small pool, though certain areas such as stairs remain inaccessible. The Submarine Form’s versatility is underscored by its use as an exhibit in Banjo-Kazooie Nuts and Bolts, where it can be found in Banjoland. In conlusion it’s a unique transformation that offers powerful capabilities and enables players to access previously hidden areas of Jolly Roger’s Lagoon, making it a valuable asset.
