Terrarium of Terror is a remarkable location that appears as an overgrown jungle in the middle of space. This stunningly unique environment is the fifth playable world in the game Banjo-Kazooie Nuts & Bolts and can be accessed through Showdown Town. The entire world is situated inside a big glass dome, which features several small tunnels leading to other smaller domes around the main one. While Terrarium of Terror only features five Acts, it boasts numerous Jiggy-Challenges that require players to be exceptionally skilled and use their creative vehicle-building abilities to overcome the challenges presented. At the heart of this world lies a colossal plant, which players can climb in order to reach the top floor. At the base of the giant plant, there is a small pond filled with water which the protagonists can dive down to explore an underwater tunnel. At the bottom of this chamber, Banjo and Kazooie will come across stasis pods that contain the aliens from the game Banjo-Tooie. Floating in space above the Terrarium of Terror is a massive ship with various advertisements, including ones for Witchyworld, Snacker’s Loan, Uranus, and Klungo’s drink. To unlock the first playable Act, players must collect forty-six Jiggies and place the Game Globe on its plinth in the hub world Showdown Town. The entrance doors to Terrarium of Terror are located in the Uptown area of Showdown Town and can only be accessed by using the laser vehicle part obtained from Gruntilda Winkybunion in the Jiggoseum world to destroy the laser wall. It is worth mentioning that the fifth Act features a Jiggy-Challenge of Gruntilda Winkybunion. Successfully completing her challenge rewards players with the horn, the last vehicle part in the game.
» Gruntilda Winkybunion in Terrarium of Terror
In the Terrarium of Terror world’s final act, players are presented with a singular Jiggy-Challenge hosted by none other than the game’s main antagonist, Gruntilda Winkybunion. Positioned near the huge Airlock, she apprises Banjo and Kazooie of her latest creation, a vehicle that consumes an excessive amount of fuel. Grunty’s intention is to amplify the damage to the ozone and harm all the plants within the Terrarium of Terror’s dome. In a brief video clip, Gruntilda unveils her new vehicle, designed to appear like a UFO that has the capacity to render itself invisible for a limited time by using the Chameleon part. As she wreaks havoc yet again, Banjo and Kazooie must take matters into their own hands and create a powerful vehicle equipped with weapons to obliterate the witch’s craft. Probably the most effective way to vanquish her is by targeting the Chameleon vehicle part first, rendering her invisible ability useless. Furthermore, Banjo and Kazooie can also employ the Clockwork Kazooie vehicle part to easily defeat Grunty, which can be procured from Humba’s Shop in the game’s hub world Showdown Town. After defeating the wicked witch in her Jiggy-Challenge, players are awarded the horn part for their trolley in Showdown Town. Though this vehicle part isn’t obligatory to complete the game, it allows the protagonists to open Mumbo Crates, where a ghost sits atop and prevents players from acquiring it with the Magic Wrench.
