Trophy Thomas, an infamous character from the Banjo-Kazooie Nuts and Bolts video game, has received attention for his cutthroat and overly competitive nature. Described as an arrogant and narcissistic individual, Trophy Thomas enjoys organizing contests and other challenges that test the skills of his competitors. Furthermore, he is notorious for being a sore loser, and his short fuse often leads to him throwing tantrums when he fails to emerge victorious. In the game, he serves as a Jiggy-Challenge host in Nutty Acres and Jiggoseum. In each Jiggy-Challenge of the game players have the opportunity to earn a T.T. Trophy if they complete it in the fastest time possible or get a high score. If players earn four T.T. Trophies, Trophy Thomas rewards them with a Jiggy which they can grab by using the Jig-O-Vend near his house in the game’s hub world Showdown Town. In the first playable world Nutty Acres, Trophy Thomas appears as the farm mechanic for Mumbo’s Nuts that belongs to the pink shaman Mumbo Jumbo. Despite his title, Trophy Thomas doesn’t do much work, preferring to search for someone to compete against. He can even come off as cruel, complaining when asked to perform a task by Humba Wumba. In Act two, four, five and six he hosts challenges that include racing, clogging leaky spouts, and freewheeling down a volcano. Trophy Thomas also shares a rivalry with the character Mr. Fit, with the two vying for the title of Farmhand of the Year. In the fourth world Jiggoseum, he proudly wears a gold medal and red and white shorts, reflecting his status as the world’s best competitor. He hosts mainly racing challenges in the second, third and sixth Act, including a long-distance race, a hurdle challenge and a challenge involving a vehicle with backward controls. Moreover, his fierce competition with Mr. Fit continues in the world, as the two are represented by different teams on the scoreboard.
