Yellow Flibbits are an interesting and unique variant of the Red Flibbits that are found exclusively in Banjo-Kazooie. These creatures are encountered in Bubblegloop Swamp, where they inhabit an island and fiercely protect their home. Compared to their counterparts, the Red Flibbits, they are much more aggressive and can deal double the amount of damage to players, making them particularly dangerous if players are low on health. Apart from their heightened aggression they require two hits from players to become defeated. Furthermore, Yellow Flibbits guard a Jiggy on their island which they consider their gold. When Banjo and Kazooie first arrive on the island, the Yellow Flibbits call them hairy trespassers and immediately engage in combat by simply jumping towards them. In order to obtain their Jiggy, the player has to defeat all six Yellow Flibbits on the island. Once the last Yellow Flibbit is defeated, they surrender and hand over the Jiggy. It’s worth noting that Yellow Flibbits don’t respawn after they have been defeated, so players don’t need to worry about encountering them again on subsequent visits to their realm. However, it’s possible that they make a return appearance in Gruntilda’s Furnace Fun, where all six of them have to be defeated before the timer hits zero. This time challenge adds an extra layer of difficulty, since the timer is set to just a few seconds and nearly requires players to use Kazooie’s Wonderwing.
» Battle Procedure
During combat with the Yellow Flibbits in Bubblegloop Swamp, players must exercise caution, as these creatures are known to be incredibly aggressive and will inflict double the damage of their red counterparts. They become particularly dangerous when the player’s health is low, and they require two hits to be defeated, making them an often underestimated enemy by players. While Yellow Flibbits do not possess any special abilities, they have the same behavior as Red Flibbits relentlessly chasing the player by hopping around. A recommended battle approach is to collect enough Golden Feathers and learn Kazooie’s Wonderwing move from Bottles, who can be found in Clanker’s Cavern. Kazooie’s Wonderwing ability allows players to take out a Yellow Flibbit with a single hit while also rendering themselves invulnerable to their attacks. Also, it may be useful to know that if a player leaves the island during the battle, all defeated Yellow Flibbits will reappear resetting the player’s progress. In addition, players will always face two of them at the same time unless five out of the six have been defeated. After defeating all of them, they will surrender and relinquish their coveted gold, that is a Jiggy, before disappearing from the game entirely. Overall players must be prepared for a challenging battle against the Yellow Flibbits, but with the right battle strategy, they can emerge victorious and receive another valuable Jiggy as a reward.
