Chopper Form is the helicopter transformation produced by the D.N.Ray in Capital Cashino, the fourth Grand Tome of Yooka-Laylee. Dr. Puzz introduces it as the Chopper, and the same aircraft returns in Yooka-Replaylee. Its green cockpit and long rear body borrow Yooka’s colouring, with a red tail fin, three black wheels beneath orange covers and a missile launcher below the nose. Laylee’s purple features form the rotor assembly above the cabin. The vehicle can climb, descend, hover and fire missiles, replacing the duo’s ordinary platforming moves with sustained flight across the casino. Jump raises the aircraft, Crouch lowers it and Attack launches missiles in the direction it faces. Unlike Flappy Flight, this movement does not consume a limited flight-energy reserve, and firing does not require collecting ammunition. In the original game, Puzz and the D.N.Ray occupy the room behind Vendi, near the large golden dice. The Mollycool comes from the working slot machine beside her. Use Lizard Lash on its handle to start the reels, then Buddy Slam the three floor buttons to stop each reel on the combined Yooka-and-Laylee face. Lizard Lash is learned from Trowzer in Moodymaze Marsh for sixty Quills, and Buddy Slam is available from his Tribalstack Tropics lessons for thirty. Once all three matching symbols are lined up, collect the Mollycool and hand it to Puzz, then interact with the D.N.Ray platform to transform. This prize is distinct from the Play Coin used at Rextro’s arcade machine. The powered D.N.Ray can be reused, and its platform allows the original duo to be restored when a puzzle needs their normal abilities. Landing before changing back avoids dropping Yooka and Laylee from a high hovering position. Flight opens the casino’s upper ledges, while the missile launcher gives the Chopper two major jobs of its own: breaking out-of-order slot machines and providing transport for the four Knights of Hamalot.
The Four Flying Taxi Jobs
Each of the four knights has a timed delivery in the original Capital Cashino. Approach the passenger as the Chopper and speak to them to begin the fare, then fly to the requested landmark and settle into the red-and-white landing ring before the countdown expires. Sir Shootsalot waits in Dr. Puzz’s room and wants a better vantage point in the palm tree above the far end of the golf course. His forty-second trip requires gaining enough height to reach the tree rather than landing on the course below it. Lady Leapalot stands beneath the beginning of that course, toward the rear-right side of the casino floor. She requests the roof of the House of Cards, also within forty seconds. Sir Scoffsalot is behind the House of Cards on the pachinko side of the room and asks to be taken to the storage alcove high above and behind Rextro’s arcade area. His forty-second route ends inside the wall recess, so line up with its opening before descending. Lady Lootsalot is concealed behind breakable blocks near Rextro. Fire missiles at the obstruction to reveal her, then carry her across the casino to the vault in the opposite corner. This is the longer forty-five-second fare, and the blocks around the destination can be cleared before beginning the delivery. Each successful passenger pays five Cashino Tokens, giving twenty altogether. The original cashier exchanges ten Tokens for one Pagie, so the complete taxi work contributes the equivalent of two Pagies. The payment arrives as Tokens to take to the counter, rather than a Pagie handed over by each knight. None of the jobs requires another Mollycool, and the passengers can be approached in a convenient order while the form is active. It helps to locate a destination before accepting its fare: the House of Cards roof is exposed, the storage room is tucked against the high wall and the golf-course tree is well above the surrounding floor. Their different heights make controlled ascent and descent more useful than simply flying toward a distant wall.
Broken Slot Machines and Missile Targets
The original casino contains eleven out-of-order slot machines that can be destroyed with the Chopper’s missiles. Each drops four Cashino Tokens, making forty-four in total. Two are inside Dr. Puzz’s room, providing the first pair close to the transformation platform. Another is in the elevated storage alcove behind Rextro, which is also Sir Scoffsalot’s taxi destination, and one stands on the red dice outside the arcade area. A fifth is on the golden dice near Kartos, on top of the security-building area. For the next machine, follow the Roulette Passage above Puzz’s room to the green-floored chamber at its far end. The golf-course side holds three more: one on a high wall ledge opposite the course’s start, one on the golden building’s roof toward the far end of the fountain and course, and one among the golden dice on the ground below that roof. The final pair are on the high ledge above the vault beside the House of Cards and in the ground-level corner to the left of the House of Cards, near the Power Grid. These are landmarks for finding all eleven, rather than a required firing order. Hover at a clear angle, aim the aircraft’s nose toward the cabinet and collect its Tokens after the machine breaks. The working slot machines used for ordinary matching-symbol games are separate objects and should not be confused with these destructible cabinets. Missiles also break the weak block formations around the casino, including those concealing Lady Lootsalot and obstructing the vault approach. They also destroy exposed laser turrets and can be used against Corplet Security, with ten defeated guards unlocking the original Peekaboo Tonic. That Tonic reduces the ordinary duo’s Camo Cloak energy use. After opening the vault approach, restore Yooka and Laylee to solve its camouflage-based security mechanisms.
Rooftop Upgrades, Ghost Writers and Loose Tokens
Sustained flight makes the original Chopper useful for a sweep of Capital Cashino’s higher collectibles. The Butterfly Extender hangs over the central fountain beneath the chandelier and golden Corplet decoration. Ascend carefully into it to increase the duo’s health. The Power Extender rests on the roof of the tall vertical maze cabinet along the wall between Kartos and the golf course. The aircraft can approach it from above, although the ordinary duo can also reach that roof using the vents. Three Ghost Writers are particularly convenient to visit during the same flight. Chase the green one across the elevated roulette-wheel platforms outside the Roulette Passage near Puzz. The blue one is on the golden building opposite the main entrance, between the fountain and golf course; land, restore the normal duo and use Sonar Shot to reveal it before collecting it. The yellow one waits on the narrow lower balcony of the House of Cards and can simply be touched. These remain three members of the original five-Ghost-Writer set, which gives one shared Pagie once all five have been collected. Flight provides access to the ledges but does not replace a ghost’s individual capture condition. Other worthwhile stops include the Quills around the House of Cards, rooftop routes and golden dice, the three Tokens suspended over the fountain and the Token on top of the golf-hole flag. The fountain’s four underwater Tokens are a separate group reached by the swimming duo, rather than part of the aerial trio. Capital Cashino’s original Pirate Treasure is on the light fitting high above and behind the entrance lobby. The normal duo can reach this secret with Flappy Flight, approaching the fixture from within the lobby. Plan a landing before changing back for its entrance security and other ground-based interactions.
Taxi Fares and Broken Machines in Yooka-Replaylee
Yooka-Replaylee moves Dr. Puzz to the carpeted area by the fountain and House of Cards, between the red dice and art-gallery side of the casino. Win the Mollycool from the slot machine opposite her by matching three Yooka-and-Laylee symbols, then activate the nearby D.N.Ray. The Chopper keeps its flight and missiles, and its Exit input restores the duo without returning to the platform. In the Switch 2 layout, A raises the aircraft, Y fires and ZR exits. The remake has ten broken slot machines, each worth one Cashino Token. Look on the House of Cards roof, on the narrow high ledge beside its Coinelius trail, in the corner near Kartos, behind Puzz and in the corner of the red-dice structure. The remaining five are on the wall ledge above the golf course, near the Ghost Writer plinth by the fountain, on the red dice opposite Rextro, in the small room high behind his arcade area and in the ground-level corner by the House of Cards near the entrance. Breaking all ten yields ten Tokens, rather than the original game’s forty-four. The four taxi passengers still pay five each, but some pickups have moved: Scoffsalot is near Puzz and the dice, Lootsalot remains behind the breakable wall near Rextro, Leapalot is beside a pillar under the golf course and Shootsalot waits against the art-gallery wall near the fountain’s puzzle-piece portrait. Their destinations remain the storage room, vault, House of Cards roof and golf-course tree respectively. Follow the golden flight rings toward the landing target and watch the course’s countdown. The remake gives these revised journeys their own time limits. The exchange rate has also changed to five Tokens per Pagie. Consequently, the ten broken machines now fund two Pagies and the four fares fund four, with both sets of Tokens exchanged at Cashital Zee’s counter. These rates explain why the same five-Token fare has a different contribution to completion in the remake.
Upper Casino Secrets in Yooka-Replaylee
The remake gives the Chopper another collecting route along the narrow ledge to the right of the House of Cards roof. Find the golden Coinelius piggy bank there, activate its trail and follow the appearing Q.U.I.D.S to the next bank. Shoot each successive bank and continue along the ledge until the Pagie Piece appears at the end. Collecting it contributes to the casino’s set of eight pieces, which form a Pagie for each group of four. Flight also offers convenient approaches to other pieces without making all of them exclusive aircraft challenges. On the chip-studded roof near Rextro, land and use the ordinary duo’s Buddy Slam on the embedded casino chips to uncover a piece. That roof also has a normal route using the tongue-grapple point from the red dice. Near Kartos, follow the narrow ledge to the single chip hanging over its edge and roll across it or Buddy Slam it for another piece. The piece surrounded by rising stacks of chips on the casino floor can be approached from above, but Camo Cloak also lets the normal duo slip between the stacks without triggering them. Other reasons to inspect the upper room include its rooftop Quills and Normy, the Ghost Writer on the House of Cards roof. Normy gives a separate Pagie under the remake’s revised capture rewards, rather than waiting for the original game’s five-ghost payout. The remade Pirate Treasure has moved as well: search behind the large golden-dice sculpture above the main entrance instead of checking the original light fitting. Use the aircraft to inspect the upper casino, then land and select Exit whenever a chip, ghost or security puzzle needs the normal duo’s moves. The Chopper’s reach allows these stops to be combined with the taxi and broken-machine circuit, while the collectible itself still determines which interaction completes the task.
