Cashital Zee is the cashier who exchanges Cashino Tokens for Pagies in Yooka-Replaylee's Capital Cashino. His illuminated kiosk stands on the main casino floor near the entrance and Mark, with oversized chips, playing-card decorations and a bright token sign making the counter easy to recognise. The banker sits behind vertical bars and a gold-edged ledge, wearing a small dark hat, reflective spectacles, an enormous black moustache, striped clothing and blue neckwear. Beneath those accessories, his yellow-and-black body and familiar features strongly resemble Capital B. The duo notice the resemblance immediately. Yooka wonders whether they have met, but the cashier insists that he is a friendly casino banker whom they have never encountered before. Laylee follows with an insult aimed at Capital B, which draws an irritated response before the host resumes his business explanation. His name continues the joke by echoing Capital B while substituting the sound of the letter Z and placing cash in the first word. The counter's courteous banking routine is repeatedly interrupted by growls, grudging congratulations and remarks about customers losing their winnings. Cashital Zee calls the visitors sirs, advertises the casino's supposedly honest games and hopes they will wager away the very papers they came to recover. As their winnings increase, he becomes less successful at keeping that welcoming manner. His role connects many otherwise separate activities around the casino: tokens collected from a machine, a challenge host or a hidden corner all return to the same counter. He therefore remains useful throughout the world's completion, from explaining the local reward system on arrival to paying out the final batches after the duo have explored the more distant rooms and upper platforms.
Cashino Tokens, Winnings and Return Visits
Cashital Zee's remake exchange rate is five Cashino Tokens for one Pagie. The blue-and-gold tokens are the casino's challenge currency, separate from the ordinary Q.U.I.D.S used for purchases and the blue Quills counted towards the world's collection reward. Speak to the banker after gathering a complete set of five to receive the corresponding paper; a larger balance can be worked through in successive exchanges during the same visit. A complete collection contains 150 Cashino Tokens, which fund thirty of Capital Cashino's fifty Pagies. The other twenty come from direct awards, including the arcade, minecart and boss challenges, Ghost Writers, Pagie Pieces and the Quill collection. This distinction explains why finishing a token-paying activity can leave the Pagie total unchanged until the player visits the kiosk. Many casino jobs pay five tokens, enough for one full remake exchange. Cashino Bandits such as Handle Barr, Max Bet, Reese Spin and Roll Jupp run different activities, while the Knights of Hamalot request helicopter trips to destinations around the building. Tokens can also be found along the routes through casino structures, so the amount held need not match the number of completed jobs. Cashital Zee's conversation changes with the duo's progress. Before they have enough, he points out the missing payment and expresses doubt that they will manage to win it. Successful returns produce increasingly strained praise, offers of free roulette spins and questions about whether the duo have already lost their papers at the tables. He proposes a donation to a charity for disadvantaged super-villains, complains that the Pagies were intended to pay for his retirement and eventually admits that the scheme was a bad idea. Other remarks concern rigged staff, special decks and the management presentation behind the casino swindle. These reactions give the repeated hand-ins their own sequence of jokes as the visitors steadily empty the banker's supply, while his practical function remains the same five-token conversion.
The Casino Banker in Yooka-Laylee
The original Yooka-Laylee uses the same suspicious-banker's premise at Capital Cashino's exchange counter, where Capital B appears in a conspicuous disguise and denies recognising the duo. That encounter is presented as the Casino Banker; Cashital Zee is the name displayed in Yooka-Replaylee. The original world is reached through the fourth Grand Tome, requiring ten Pagies to open and another eleven to expand. Camo Cloak lets the duo pass the security cameras at its entrance before approaching the bank. The original conversion is ten Casino Tokens for one Pagie, with 190 tokens available for nineteen exchanges. Six further Pagies are awarded through Kartos, I.N.E.P.T., Rextro's two arcade objectives, collecting all five Ghost Writers and gathering all two hundred Quills. Those figures differ from the remake's five-token rate, larger Pagie total and revised distribution, so an original five-token job pays only half of a complete exchange. The banker carries on the disguise through his formal welcome and complaints about successful customers, but references to his own casino, rigged games and a failed scheme undermine the performance. His wish to keep the papers also fits the rule enforced by I.N.E.P.T., which objects when Pagies are awarded by anyone except the authorised cashier. The original counter and remake kiosk consequently share both a gameplay purpose and a running story joke: the duo obtain the golden pages by beating a system whose proprietor would much rather keep them. The remake begins with the worlds already expanded and the duo's normal moves available, changing how soon the surrounding activities can be attempted. It also labels the cashier directly in dialogue, giving the familiar banking persona the name used by this article. The casino's boss encounter remains I.N.E.P.T.; the cashier conducts his business at the kiosk without starting a separate fight there.
