Miss Bucket

Miss Bucket banner placeholder

Miss Bucket is the talking bucket who helps Banjo and Kazooie make a Jiggy in Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty’s Revenge. She is found in the factory section of Freezing Furnace, where Gruntlings have been breaking up the Jiggies they discover. She offers to recast a prize from seven scattered gold nuggets. The task takes the duo across machinery, lava-side platforms, a swimming pool and two connected rooftops before they can return to watch her work. She points the visitors towards water with a hint about splashing and insists on having enough gold for a complete Jiggy. Miss Bucket later appears among the spectators in Banjo-Pilot’s awards ceremony.

Appearance, Conversation and Game Appearances

Miss Bucket has a gray bucket-shaped body with large eyes and pink facial details, also shown in the portrait accompanying her dialogue. She greets the visitors herself, surprising Banjo by being able to speak, while Kazooie is less impressed by the discovery. When Banjo addresses her as Mister Bucket, she corrects him and establishes that her name is Miss Bucket. Kazooie also turns her appearance into a joke about the similar sound of pale and pail. These conversations accompany her practical offer to help with the Jiggy search, and she remains involved after the first meeting through hints and the final casting sequence. Miss Bucket returns in Banjo-Pilot among the background characters attending the awards ceremony after a successful Grand Prix. The appearance places her alongside other familiar supporting characters from Grunty’s Revenge, including Alfred P. Cock, Mama Clucker and Mr. Ripovski. Her participation is as a spectator around the podium rather than as one of the pilots available to race. The cameo carries her design into another game, but does not introduce another nugget collection, casting request or conversation continuing her factory task.

Finding Her in Freezing Furnace

Miss Bucket waits in the industrial interior of Freezing Furnace, the final main world of Grunty’s Revenge. Reach the glowing cave entrance along the rocky eastern route beyond the large Biggafoot statue, using the ledges to descend to its opening. Inside, drop from the entry platforms to the main factory floor, where Livewires guard raised machinery. Follow the lower route towards the staircase, climb to the fenced upper floor and ascend the platforms on the left to find her near the casting equipment. This factory sub-area is commonly called Grunty Industries. It shares a name and industrial theme with the Banjo-Tooie world, although an exact connection between the two is not confirmed.

Why She Needs Seven Gold Nuggets

Asked about nearby Jiggies, Miss Bucket explains that the Gruntlings have been smashing the ones they find. She can make a replacement if the duo bring enough gold to cast it, and identifies seven pieces hidden around the factory as the required supply. Collecting only part of the set does not produce a usable reward: the conversation makes clear that an incomplete Jiggy would be no good. If asked where the Gruntlings dropped the pieces, she remembers hearing splashes, pointing the search towards the factory’s liquid-filled areas as well as its obvious platforms. The gold nuggets form a local collection task, distinct from Ripovski’s silver waterslide coins and the gold coins gathered during the ending credits. Miss Bucket needs the seven nuggets before the recasting can be completed.

Moves for the Factory Search

The collection uses the bear and bird’s movement abilities across several heights and hazards. Flap Flip, taught by Kazooie after her rescue in Breegull Beach without a Note charge, is performed with L and A and reaches the lower raised platforms. Bozzeye’s Breegull Beach lessons supply Feathery Flap at 110 Musical Notes and Talon Trot at 140, useful for the gaps and steep return route. In Spiller’s Harbor, Bozzeye teaches Wonderwing at 310 Notes and Shock Spring Jump at 370. Wonderwing protects the duo while passing the electrical enemies, and the spring pads reach the high rooftops once their switch has been activated. That switch accepts Pack Whack or Bill Drill. All seven nuggets can be collected as ordinary Banjo and Kazooie; the Tank transformation and its separate factory-door challenge are not requirements for Miss Bucket’s reward.

The Pedestal, Upper Ledge, Lava Platform and Pool

One nugget sits on a Livewire pedestal near the factory entrance. Approach from behind the machinery and use Flap Flip to reach the top while keeping clear of the electrical enemy. Another is on a ledge reached by following the Wonderwing route north of the large robot statue: activate the protection at the pad, climb past the enemies and drop onto the lower ledge holding the gold. For the lava-side nugget, follow the conveyor route towards the southern edge and use Feathery Flap across the small platforms above the molten floor. A further piece is at the bottom of the raised swimming pool, which can be entered with a Flap Flip. This is the water-filled pool, separate from the surrounding lava and green sludge. These four positions account for the gold on the lower machinery and liquid-side routes before the remaining pillar and rooftop search.

The Sludge Pillar and Two Rooftops

A fifth nugget is on a pillar surrounded by green sludge in the lower factory area. Jump to the pillar from the nearby sloped platform, then use Feathery Flap to reach the safe patch southwest of it. Hit the Shock Spring switch there with Pack Whack or Bill Drill to activate the pad needed for the last two high positions. Return across the pillar to the slope, use Talon Trot to climb, cross the pipe and lava-side route, and locate the activated spring pad. Launch onto the first metal rooftop to collect its nugget, then cross the red connecting pipes to the second roof for the other. Gruntlings patrol these heights, so avoid being knocked off while crossing. The route describes where all seven pieces are found; their numbering is a way to follow the search, rather than an order imposed by Miss Bucket.

Returning the Gold and Recasting the Jiggy

With all seven nuggets collected, return to Miss Bucket by climbing the staircase to her upper platform. Speak to her to hand over the gold and start the work she promised. She asks the visitors to stand back, then uses the casting machinery to turn the collected gold into a new Jiggy. The finished prize appears on the press to her right, where Banjo and Kazooie can jump up and collect it. Finding the final nugget therefore completes the supply collection, while the return conversation and pickup finish the reward sequence. This Jiggy is separate from the factory’s letter-floor puzzle, Klungo battle and Tank-door task, each of which has its own objective.
