Spiller’s Harbor, the fourth playable world in Banjo-Kazooie Grunty’s Revenge, is a location filled with devastation and ruin. Accessible through Spiral Mountain, it was once a beautiful resort for visitors until the minions of Gruntilda Winkybunion destroyed everything, turning the water into a deadly and poisonous sea. The world may not be as difficult as the world Bad Magic Bayou, but some Jiggies are trickier to earn. The dangers of Spiller’s Harbor are evident as the protagonists lose all their health points when they collide with the poisonous water. However, they can use the Squid Form in order to avoid an instant defeat and swim in the sea. In the north of the world lies Spillerston, where a garden with many beautiful trees can be found, along with aggressive bees that will chase them whenever they come too close. On the opposite side of the garden, there is a town with some buildings that can be entered through holes on the roof. Between two of these buildings lies an Arcade Machine, which features all the minigames from the game but requires special coins that can be earned during the credits at the end of the game. On the left side of the world is Bilge Haven, where a huge Sandcastle is located on the beach, which can be entered by using the mouse transformation from Mumbo Jumbo. The entrance to Spiller’s Harbor is located in the middle top part of the game’s hub world Spiral Mountain inside a wall next to the mountain filled with lava. To break the magic seal that is blocking the entrance door, the protagonists must collect twenty-four Jiggies and activate the Crystal Jiggy located inside Jiggywiggy Temple.
» Gruntilda in Spiller's Harbor
In Spiller’s Harbor, players will once again encounter the villainous Gruntilda Winkybunion, who is hiding in the first section of the world near the white lighthouse. However before the protagonists can challenge her, they must first learn the Ice Eggs from Bozzeye, who is located near Mumbo’s Skull. This new ability is necessary to activate the Toll Machine on the wooden platform, sitting on the lighthouse, which will open the way to Gruntilda. To reach the Toll Machine, players must use the Shock Spring Pad in front of the lighthouse to jump on the wooden platform and then use the second pad on it to reach the platform above. Once there, they’ll find the Toll Machine and must select the Ice Eggs to fire them into the machine and activate the warp platform below. With this done, players can then use the platform to find Mecha-Grunty’s location. Once players confront Mecha-Grunty, they will find that the challenge against her is similar to the one they had with the Ghost Pirate in Breegull Beach. With the Ice Eggs, the protagonists will be well-equipped to take her on. Once defeated, Gruntilda will surrender and fly away to escape the duo, leaving behind a valuable Jiggy and another Mumbo Token. The Mumbo Token, in turn, allows them to use a new transformation from Mumbo, the Squid Form. While in this form, the protagonists can enter small holes like the pipe of the Mucky Passage, where they must swim to the end and dodge enemies like Shrapnel’s or Whiplashes to find a Jiggy. Moreover, the Squid Form enables players to jump even higher while in the water, making it easier to reach the tops of tall pillars that are otherwise unattainable. In addition, the squid transformation allows Banjo and Kazooie to fire unlimited ink balls, which has a very short cooldown time and can be used to quickly defeat enemies.
